The pair: two prints, hung the way you stand

The code was never worn alone

A colour in one pocket was a question. It only became the code when someone across the room was wearing the answer. Left and right, giving and receiving — the whole system assumed two people.

So the pair is not a product we added. It is the work in its natural state: the left-pocket print beside the right-pocket print, hung the way two people stood.

Two ways to make a pair

The simplest pair is one colour, both sides. You and the person who reads you, same code, facing. The second is two colours: yours on the side you are, theirs on the side they are. When the sides differ — one left, one right — you face each other, and the print says so. When they are the same, you stand on the same side: a pair the 1970s never wrote down and this code does.

On the home page the quiz ends with “send to your partner”. When they finish theirs, you both see the pair. That link is the whole point of the quiz.

Hanging it

Left print on the left, right print on the right, a hand’s width apart, figures level. Both prints are the same sheet size so the divide lines up. In a hallway, at eye height, they read from the door. Above a bed, lower than you think.
